On today’s episode of Don’t @ Me, Dan Dakich criticized Colin Kaepernick for equating the NFL draft and combine to the slave trade. Dan argued against the logic, questioning how a voluntary, lucrative professional sports league could be likened to involuntary labor. He also addressed Ryan Clark for supporting this narrative. Furthermore, he highlighted Kaepernick’s contradiction of labeling the NFL oppressive while seeking re-entry into the league.
Meanwhile, Olympic gymnast Simone Biles shared on social media her ongoing car issues. After her Porsche was stolen from her Chicago home, it was recovered, but Biles expressed reluctance to drive a vehicle previously taken by thieves. She humorously questioned whether $23,000 for a red carpet glam is now standard, in a viral TikTok post.
Biles’ husband, Jonathan Owens, plays for the Indianapolis Colts. Despite the recovery of their car, the theft will be noted on its Carfax report, possibly affecting its trade-in value. While some may view Biles’ unease as out of touch, it’s understandable given personal feelings about theft.
Previously, during the Winter Olympics in Milan, Owens experienced another theft attempt when someone tried to snatch his shopping bag. Fortunately, he retained the contents without needing replacements.
