2 weeks ago 0

Surveillance footage has surfaced showing a woman, possibly Elizabeth “Liz” Waddell, who disappeared while on vacation in Grenada. Waddell, a 43-year-old from Cary, N.C., was enjoying a three-week holiday with a friend when she went missing on July 22 after a swim at Grand Anse Beach, according to police reports.

The video, which Liz’s family shared on YouTube, depicts a person resembling Waddell walking near a pool while holding a towel. Shortly afterward, she is seen approaching the water and jumping in for a swim. This footage, reportedly from an Airbnb’s surveillance cameras, might be the last sighting of her.

Despite our exhaustive efforts, we have not been successful. After careful and thoughtful consultation with family, local authorities, the U.S. Embassy, and others here in Grenada, I join authorities in believing there was no foul play.

These are the words of Liz’s husband, Cailen Waddell, who has been actively searching for her alongside authorities since flying to Grenada two days after her disappearance.

Randy Connaught, commissioner of the Royal Grenada Police Force, stated during a recent news conference that no conclusions have yet been drawn regarding Waddell’s disappearance. The police are utilizing dive teams, drones, and dogs in their search efforts to find any clues.

The investigation continues with multiple lines of inquiry open. Authorities are encouraging anyone with relevant information to share it with them to aid in the search for Waddell.
