I was content with playing music for a living. When my first record, ‘Turmoil & Tinfoil,’ sold, it was a major eye-opener for me.”

The new album title, “So Much for Goodbyes,” holds significant meaning for Strings. He recounted the moment he learned of his mother’s passing on his way to a show in Kentucky. The lack of closure from not being able to say goodbye fueled the album’s emotional core. However, his manager pointed out another perspective: A belief that she’s ever-present, in everything and everywhere. Thus, the title reflects both the pain of unspoken goodbyes and the continuity of her spirit.
