Sarti Rosa: The New Social Media Cocktail Sensation

39 minutes ago 0

Sarti Rosa has launched in the United States, creating a buzz with its arrival. Previously accessible only in Europe, this Italian aperitif is now available in liquor stores nationwide and has become a viral sensation online. Developed by Casa Luigi Sarti & Figli, a historic distillery established in Bologna in 1885, the liqueur blends blood orange, mango, and passion fruit flavors.

Sarti Rosa’s Growing Popularity

This new beverage trend continues alongside popular summer cocktails like Aperol and Hugo spritz. Experts predict the Sarti spritz could compete with these drinks, attracting consumers with its eye-catching pink hue and sweet, fruity taste. Social media users are already talking about Sarti Rosa’s presence and its journey from Italy to the U.S.

An influencer shared their experience on Instagram, declaring, “Aperol spritz is out, Sarti spritz is in.” Others share stories about finding Sarti Rosa in local stores, reinforcing its growing accessibility.

Availability in the United States

Bottles of Sarti Rosa can be found in certain areas around the country, retailing for around $29.99 in New York City. Despite its social media popularity, Derek Brown, co-founder of Drink Company, notes that it hasn’t achieved widespread availability in bars yet. Social media awareness alone is not enough; consumer demand and bartender availability will determine its growth.

Brown points out that Sarti’s unique attributes, such as its vibrant color and “spritz-factor,” coupled with limited availability, drive interest. “Some research suggests pink drinks taste sweeter and can evoke pleasure,” noted Brown. Sarti’s 14% alcohol by volume (ABV) adds to its appeal.

A Look Ahead

Sarti’s potential to become a staple among spritzes is evident. Brown believes that as more people request it by name and bars stock it, Sarti will gain momentum. He foresees it being touted as the “Drink of the Summer” in the future, potentially rivalling Aperol and Hugo spritz.

In New York, The Farm Italy restaurant has introduced the “Saint Sarti Spritz,” a combination of St-Germain, Sarti, lemon sorbet, mint, and prosecco. Beverage director Marisela Camacho reports high demand for the drink, both in reservations and at the restaurant. Camacho anticipates that Sarti’s appeal will continue into the colder months.
