Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., announced his support for Sen. Darline Graham, R-S.C., in the upcoming U.S. Senate election. In a post shared on Wednesday, Norman emphasized his commitment to defeating Democrats and ensuring the protection of conservative values. He stated, “As I said repeatedly on the campaign trail, my fight was never with other Republicans. It’s with the socialist Democrats and the RINOs who enable them.” Norman congratulated Graham on her Republican nomination victory and expressed his support for her candidacy in November.
South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster had appointed Graham, the sister of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, to fill the Senate vacancy following her brother’s passing in July. Backed by former President Donald Trump, Graham triumphed over Norman in the special Republican primary runoff held in South Carolina.
“She won the nomination,” Norman remarked. “What I disagree with, she got all of her money from Washington D.C. The liberal PACs, Lisa Murkowski supported her. That’s concerning.”
Norman’s remarks came during his media appearance after losing the runoff, where he affirmed his commitment to supporting Graham “the best I can.” He faced a question earlier this week regarding whether he would support Graham during her campaign, to which he reiterated his backing.
Fox News Digital reached out to Graham’s campaign and Lisa Murkowski’s office for comments. However, no immediate responses were provided. Dr. Annie Andrews is contesting against Graham as the Democratic nominee in the general election.
President Donald Trump also offered his congratulations to Sen. Darline Graham during a campaign rally at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
