Law enforcement has received information about a potential ransom note in the ongoing Nancy Guthrie investigation. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) announced this development late Monday. The PCSD/FBI Guthrie Task Force is examining the possible note, following Savannah Guthrie’s mother, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, going missing nearly eight months ago. She was last seen on January 31 at her Tucson, Arizona home.
Authorities are aware of social media discussions surrounding the note. They are investigating to assess the information’s authenticity. PCSD’s statement highlighted these efforts and the continued work to solve the case.
Newsweek has contacted the sheriff’s department for additional remarks. Updates on this breaking news will follow as more details become available.
