The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued the highest risk warning for numerous recalled salad products potentially contaminated with harmful bacteria.
Made Fresh Salads, a company based in New York, initiated a voluntary recall in September. The recall covers all its ready-to-eat deli-style salads, cream cheese products, and half-size aluminum pans. These items might be tainted with Listeria monocytogenes, a dangerous bacterium.
The FDA has now given these products a Class I risk rating. This is the most severe level of recall, indicating a reasonable chance that consuming or using the products could result in serious health issues or even death.
A total of 61 products from Made Fresh Salads have been recalled and categorized under this risk classification. These products were distributed through direct delivery to numerous retail stores and distributors in Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and New York City.
This information marks an ongoing situation. Further updates are expected.
