Concerns have shifted from being seated next to a crying child to being next to a noisy pet. More passengers travel with animals now. It costs about $150, the price of a meal at LaGuardia, to bring a pet onboard. On a Miami flight, comforting a fellow passenger’s dog was a reality. Reassuring the anxious pet in seat 21D brought the question of who deserves to panic more, especially when facing geopolitical risks and snacking nervously on overpriced airport snacks.

Previously, flying frustration felt shared, but times have changed with the rise of perks inequality. Some travelers enjoy exclusive lines, lounges, and private cabins, isolated from typical travel discomforts. Meanwhile, others endure basic economy seats, reflecting on their choices while watching those in luxury accommodations.
