Brandi Glanville, age 53, has shared her fears about having contracted a ‘sexually transmitted ringworm’ in her throat. The revelation came during an episode of her ‘Brandi Glanville Unfiltered’ podcast with former adult film star Lisa Ann. Glanville suspects she picked up the infection while dating someone in the adult industry.

Lisa Ann mentioned that ringworm is a common occurrence on film sets and many lack awareness in identifying it. She explained that makeup artists often inspect new talent’s bodies for contagious patches, emphasizing the importance of good lighting for this task.

According to the Mayo Clinic, ringworm is a contagious fungal infection affecting skin, hair, or nails. Despite its name, no worms cause this condition. Glanville initially thought she caught the infection in her throat but was unaware of the potential threat until informed by a friend. Her testing showed inconclusive results.

‘You see them when it’s on the skin, but they can burrow into areas like the throat and ears,’ Glanville explained. She speculated that her partner may have contracted the infection through wrestling activities.

Glanville also recalled a previous instance when she believed a parasite attacked her face following a trip to Morocco in 2023. Initially diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema, she endured facial paralysis and suspected a parasite was to blame.

Doctors proposed that her disfigured face might be due to a parasite, yet they lacked certainty. As defined by the Mayo Clinic, angioedema resembles hives but affects deeper skin layers.

In February, Glanville identified ruptured breast implants from twenty years ago as the root cause of her health issues. Prior to discovering this, she spent over $70,000 searching for answers to her medical plight.
