Killer Kross, a prominent figure in professional wrestling, is well known for his fierce persona in the ring. As the Major League Wrestling (MLW) world heavyweight champion, he has overcome numerous challengers, solidifying his terrifying reputation.
However, outside of wrestling, Kross reveals an entirely different side, characterized by his compassion and kindness. He shared an unexpected encounter during an interview with Fox News Digital, where his cat made a surprise appearance. This led to a discussion about how Kross and his wife, fellow pro wrestler Scarlett Bordeaux, adopted the feline.
Adopting a Stray
Kross explained that he had suffered from severe cat allergies his entire life. Despite this, about a year and a half ago, he and Bordeaux discovered a kitten at their doorstep. Stray animals often crossed their paths during travels, prompting them to feed any they encountered.
The couple initially provided food for the kitten, who occasionally returned with gifts like pieces of mice. Kross, unfamiliar with cats, had to research feline behavior to understand these actions. His allergies were severe, causing hives and requiring hospital visits upon contact with cats. Yet, the kitten lingered around their home.
Braving a Hurricane
When a hurricane approached, Kross and his wife faced a dilemma. They wished to bring the kitten indoors but were worried about Kross’ allergies. Instead, Bordeaux purchased shelter materials and toys to ensure the kitten’s safety at their doorstep throughout the storm.
The cat eventually made itself comfortable, triggering only minor allergic reactions in Kross. Following an attack on the cat, the couple took it to a veterinarian, ensuring it received needed medical care. Tests showed the cat had no diseases, so Kross willingly covered the veterinary expenses.
A New Family Addition
Post-recovery, Kross and Bordeaux dedicated a room for the cat’s stay, complete with an automatic litter box. Their two dogs, surprisingly fond of the cat, shared a close bond with the new household member.
With time, Kross discovered his allergies had significantly reduced, allowing him to enjoy the cat’s unique personality. The cat, intelligent and responsive, became part of the family, integrating smoothly into their routine.
Despite his menacing ring persona, Kross’ actions offstage reveal his genuinely caring nature. The new season of “MLW Fusion” continues to highlight the wrestler’s on-screen endeavors. Meanwhile, his off-screen story continues to inspire through his unexpected bond with a stray cat.
