Josh Jacobs Arrested Amid Domestic Violence Allegations

1 month ago 0

Recent dispatch audio has provided new details on the alleged domestic violence case involving Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs. Reports from inside his Wisconsin residence indicate audible “yelling and screaming,” according to a dispatcher, as recorded by TMJ 4.

The dispatcher noted, “Things being thrown, open line… Possibly a male and female.” Further context came from another call where a neighbor reported an assault taking place at Jacobs’ home.

When police arrived, Jacobs was not present, having left the scene in his Mercedes G-Wagon. Authorities initiated a search for his vehicle using license plate readers. Jacobs was subsequently arrested on Tuesday by the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department on multiple domestic abuse charges.

The charges include domestic abuse battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim. Most charges are misdemeanors, but strangulation and suffocation is classified as a felony. The police stated that the investigation remains ongoing.

Jacobs’ attorneys, David Z. Chesnoff and Clarence Duchac, emphasize his denial of these accusations. “Josh vehemently denies the allegations,” they stated, urging for fairness as the legal process continues.

The NFL has been informed and reached out to the Green Bay Packers, who declined to comment due to the ongoing investigation.

Jacobs, known for his impact on the field, completed his second season with the Packers with 929 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns in 2025. In his debut season with the team in 2024, he achieved 1,329 yards and 15 touchdowns. Prior to joining Green Bay, Jacobs played five seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders and led the league in rushing yards in 2022 with 1,653 yards.
