Aaron Donald, a legendary NFL pass rusher, is making a highly anticipated return to the league. He has signed a one-year, $20 million contract with the Los Angeles Rams. This deal was finalized on Sunday, bringing him back to his former team.
The Rams were already seen as likely contenders for the Super Bowl. With Donald rejoining, their chances look even brighter. His presence adds significant expectations for the team this season.
During an episode of ESPN’s First Take aired on Monday morning, Stephen A. Smith emphasized that it is ‘Super Bowl or bust’ for the Rams. He stated, ‘The only possible excuse for the Rams not making the Super Bowl is health.’ Smith acknowledged that injuries are a reality in the NFL. They can potentially disrupt any team’s plans. Yet, he believes, if the Rams stay healthy, winning the Super Bowl should be their clear goal.
Apart from Donald, the Rams boast other key players. Matthew Stafford, the reigning NFL MVP, is on their roster. Additionally, Myles Garrett, who holds the title of Defensive Player of the Year, also plays for the team.
The Rams will begin their regular-season games with a matchup against the San Francisco 49ers scheduled for September 10.
