1 week ago 0

Hayden Panettiere died from toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol, and quetiapine. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office ruled her death an accident.

On August 16, 2026, a 911 call was made at 1:51 PM to report cardiac arrest at 701 Easley Bridge Road, Greenville. First responders arrived shortly and found a female in cardiac arrest. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at 2:32 PM.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office and Greenville City Police Department conducted parallel investigations. They identified the deceased as Hayden Leslie Panettiere, 36, who was temporarily staying at the location.

An autopsy, performed by a Board Certified Forensic Pathologist, found no trauma contributing to the death. The cause was confirmed as the toxic effects of the substances mentioned.

“Many people who were not close to Hayden are using her death as an opportunity to fuel gossip and speculation,” said Panettiere’s representative. “It is deeply disrespectful to her memory and to those who knew and loved her.”

The late star’s boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his brother, Zach, discovered her unresponsive and called 911, according to a police report obtained. Hickerson provided authorities with a bag containing Panettiere’s medications.

Zach displayed visible emotion as paramedics attempted resuscitation, while Hickerson became emotional post-confirmation of her death, as stated in the report.

Hickerson traveled with Panettiere from Los Angeles a day prior to her being found. They had a brief breakup in 2022, and reconciled later. His brother verified the couple’s relationship status at the time.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is involved in the investigation. Panettiere’s team has urged against speculation, asking for respect towards the deceased and those in mourning.

Further investigation is ongoing to reveal the complete story and ensure justice.
