Americans Born on 9/11: A Special Commemoration

3 weeks ago 0

William Faber marked his birthday on September 11 as many children do, but he chose to honor the day differently after understanding its significance around age 10. Rather than focusing on personal celebration, he decided to serve others on this poignant anniversary.

Faber’s narrative, along with others, is highlighted in Fox Nation’s new feature, focusing on individuals born on September 11, 2001, who are now turning 25. Approximately 13,000 children were born in the U.S. on that day, according to Faulkner on ‘Outnumbered.’

Faber shared that his parents initially shielded him from the gravity of September 11 to ensure his birthdays remained joyful. They eventually explained the tragic events when he was 10, prompting Faber to change how he commemorates his birthday.

“My parents wanted to protect my feelings and ensure I could celebrate joyfully. It was at 10 years old they told me the story, and since then, I’ve opted not to celebrate my birthday on that day,” Faber relayed. His choice is influenced by a family friend killed in the attacks and the countless lives lost.

Faber, turning 25 on September 11, 2026, features prominently in Fox Nation’s special, showcasing his dedication to community service over personal celebration.

“I aim to volunteer and give back on that day. I’d prefer working to help the community over personal festivities,” Faber stated.
