The 2025 NFL season proved difficult for Marvin Harrison Jr. as injuries restricted him to 12 games. This has set up the 2026 campaign, his third year in the league, as a potential comeback. However, early results have been disappointing.
In the first two games, Harrison managed only one reception out of four targets. With Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett throwing 65 passes so far, the low involvement of Harrison, once considered the potential face of the franchise, is concerning.

The lackluster performance is not just visible in his statistics but in his demeanor and energy levels. Attention on a receiver without successful plays often signals a troubling situation.
Despite the team’s decade without a playoff victory, Harrison’s minimal impact does not provide solace for the Cardinals in the competitive NFC West. With 15 games left, there remains hope for his improvement, but signs of a turnaround are absent.

As a rookie in 2024, Harrison led Arizona with eight touchdown receptions and was second in targets, totaling 116. In 2026, based on current trends, he’s projected at zero touchdowns and 34 targets.

After two consecutive 1,200-yard seasons at Ohio State and a fourth overall draft selection, few would have foreseen these struggles. Less than three years ago, Harrison was fourth in Heisman Trophy voting, and now he appears far removed from that performance.
