Have you ever thought about out-predicting expert writers, a data algorithm, or even a dog? Now’s your chance to join in by choosing the winners of every match in this summer’s World Cup.
You can participate in our soccer pick’em game by making daily picks and competing to achieve the longest streak across 104 games.
How to Play
Build your streak by picking as many correct tournament matches in succession as possible. Your streak will stop if you make an incorrect choice, but you can always start again with a new streak.
Additional Features
Within our pick’em hub, you’ll be able to compare your stats against The Athletic’s resident soccer experts, Elias Burke and Andy Jones. They will predict every single game, providing explanations for their choices in daily articles.
You’ll also compete against special guests, including Wilf—a soccer-enthusiast six-year-old—and Stanley the dog. “The Algo” prediction machine and a rotating team of fellow subscribers will test your predictive skills too. The leaderboard is available at any time to check the longest streak in the game.
