Controversy Surrounds Aaron Rodgers After Podcast Appearance

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers often sparks debate in sports circles. Some appreciate his candidness, while others criticize his demeanor. OutKick’s Craig Carton ranks among the critics.

Carton lashed out at Rodgers, dubbing him “The LeBron James of the NFL,” due to recent remarks made during a podcast with teammate Cam Heyward. Rodgers criticized ESPN’s coverage of Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel, calling it hypocritical.

Aaron Rodgers discusses controversies and relationships on Cam Heyward’s podcast.

In his conversation, Rodgers shared a story involving ex-fiancé Shailene Woodley, claiming she expressed a desire to be with another man shortly after their engagement. Carton condemned this disclosure.

Carton remarked, “Mr. Narcissist himself, Aaron Rodgers, chose the podcast to embarrass himself.” He noted Woodley’s silence on Rodgers for nearly two years, suggesting Rodgers might be fabricating events.

The criticism continued as Carton commented on Rodgers’ relationships with women. He labeled Rodgers as “a weird guy, a high maintenance guy, and an absolute narcissist,” advising women to avoid him.

Rodgers also made statements about former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, alleging her depression post-retirement and mentioning their disagreements on financial matters.

Danica Patrick shares history with Aaron Rodgers during her racing years.

Carton questioned Rodgers’ motives, as neither Woodley nor Patrick have publicly addressed these issues recently. His comments, Carton argued, reflect deep-seated narcissism.

Carton further noted Rodgers’ critical remarks about former Packers teammates, implicitly identifying Greg Jennings and Jermichael Finley.

Rodgers’ behavior contrasts with his stellar professional football reputation, Carton critiqued, “Though Rodgers excelled on the field, his character remained questionable.” The ongoing debate pits his athletic greatness against his personal reputation.
