Marty O’Donnell, a Grammy-nominated composer and Republican congressional candidate, recently shared his disappointment about being disinvited from a reunion event at SacAnime. The event was meant to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the “Halo” franchise, a series to which O’Donnell significantly contributed.

O’Donnell revealed that SacAnime’s decision came after remarks he made during his campaign, where he labeled Marxism as an existential threat. He accused his political opponents of misinterpreting his comments, stating that his status as a Republican candidate led to his removal from the event.

In his statement to Fox News Digital, O’Donnell argued that the disinvitation exemplified what he calls “Cancel Culture.” He noted that the LGBTQ staff at SacAnime felt uncomfortable with his presence, leading to the decision to exclude him.

Despite the setback, O’Donnell expressed his intention to continue his political efforts. He aligned his experience with a broader trend of what he describes as an effort to “silence and destroy conservatives.”

During a recent appearance on The WDW Pro Show, O’Donnell discussed the threat he perceives in Marxism and identity politics, claiming that they create unusual alliances among various groups. He pointed out potential contradictions in these alliances, such as those between LGBTQ+, Islamists, and Marxists.
