WWE star Danhausen has unexpectedly earned praise from pro wrestling fans and New York Knicks supporters alike. Fans credit him with breaking the franchise’s long-standing curse, leading to their NBA title victory.
Jalen Brunson, the Knicks’ point guard, initially hesitated to speak about Danhausen’s ‘uncursing’ activities. However, he admitted that he and the team’s trainers regularly acknowledge Roman Reigns before games.
‘At first, I was a little skeptical. But, I mean, you have to believe it now,’ Brunson said on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.’
The enthusiasm surrounding Danhausen grew as the NBA Finals approached. He had previously ‘cursed’ the Cleveland Cavaliers, paving the way for the Knicks’ finals appearance.
Commenting on the situation, Danhausen expressed his excitement on social media, stating, ‘DANHAUSEN KNEW THEY BELIEVED. Thank you @jalenbrunson1 @KarlTowns and @FallonTonight for confirming Danhausens cursing and uncursing powers to the world.’
Brunson excelled, earning the NBA Finals MVP award with an average of 32.6 points per game over the five-game series. Notably, he scored 45 points in the decisive match, securing another comeback for the Knicks.
Danhausen debuted in WWE during the Elimination Chamber event at the United Center in Chicago on February 28, 2026. The connection between him and Brunson extends beyond the court, with potential future collaborations in the WWE realm.
