Wayne McBreairty epitomizes one side of this divide. On a recent morning, he entered the town office wearing a ‘Troy Jackson for Maine’ baseball cap. In his hand was a notepad with a handwritten message: “Congratulations Troy Jackson on your Nomination to run for Election to the U.S. Senate.”
The message reflects the admiration some residents hold for Jackson. Others in the community, however, do not share this sentiment, leading to a clear divide among the townspeople.
