Witnesses reported hearing loud noises and experiencing power outages. Some employees were trapped in elevators and required assistance to reach safety. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire quickly. A team of experts, including a building engineer and staff from Southern California Edison, is now assessing the damage to the structure and electrical systems.
The fire started on the first floor and is believed to have been caused by electrical issues. Authorities have reported no injuries and found no evidence of arson.
TikTok relocated its Los Angeles operations to the Bristol Parkway building in 2020. This office spans 120,000 square feet, accommodates roughly 1,000 workers, and includes various studios and murals designed for content creators.
The Culver City Police Department responded swiftly to the fire, with evacuation efforts beginning around 2:14 p.m. Officer Jennifer Atenza stated that emergency personnel prioritized securing the employees’ safety.
