Four U.S. Service Members Injured in USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Incident

On Monday, a mishap aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, located off the coast of Virginia, resulted in injuries to four U.S. service members. The U.S. Navy reported the incident occurred at approximately 6:18 p.m. EDT during aircraft recovery operations.

During the mishap, two aviators from the Navy ejected from their aircraft. They were swiftly recovered by the search-and-rescue team, though the Navy has not disclosed the aircraft type involved. The aviators are part of Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 3.

Among those affected on the Eisenhower, four individuals received medical care. One service member required hospital treatment in Norfolk, Virginia. The Navy has assured that the injuries sustained are not life-threatening.
