French Model Scout Linked to Epstein Found Dead

Daniel Siad, a prominent French model scout implicated in arranging meetings between models and Jeffrey Epstein, has been found dead in his home near Paris. The discovery was reported by French publication Le Monde on Monday night. Siad was 69 years old.

An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of his death. His attorney mentioned that if Siad died from a heart attack, it could be due to the stress he endured daily over ongoing investigations related to his connections with Epstein. Epstein died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex offenses.

Department of Justice investigators reportedly found that Epstein paid Siad significant sums of money. Siad’s name appears frequently in the department’s Epstein Library. He utilized his fashion industry contacts to assist Epstein, who was associated with influential figures such as former U.S. President Bill Clinton, the British Royal formerly known as Prince Andrew, and Donald Trump before his presidency.

Since February, Parisian prosecutors have been investigating Siad’s potential involvement in human trafficking and criminal conspiracy. Although they intended to continue investigations, they had not found enough evidence to arrest him before his death.

Two women reported to CNN that they were abused by Epstein after being introduced to him by Siad. He denied any complaints from individuals he introduced to Epstein and claimed he thought Epstein was a casting director connected with Victoria’s Secret. CNN found no evidence supporting this claim.

In a June interview, Siad questioned why he wouldn’t trust Epstein, whom he described as powerful. He acknowledged Epstein’s 2008 charge for soliciting prostitution but believed the issue was resolved. The two remained in contact after Epstein’s release from jail in 2009.

A model accused Siad of raping her in the 1990s, an allegation he also denied.
