An Idaho mother, Andrea Shaw, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of her 18-month-old twins. The Payette Police Department announced her indictment last week, and she was taken into custody in Boise on Tuesday.
The twins, a boy and a girl, were found deceased in a shared bed on May 1, 2025. Authorities have accused Shaw of suffocating her twins, Dallas and Tyson, though the cause of death was not publicly disclosed.

Shortly after the incident, Shaw and her husband appeared on a podcast backed by Children’s Health Defense. This anti-vaccine group was once led by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Shaw alleged on the podcast that her children fell ill and died soon after receiving three vaccinations.
Joe Filicetti, Shaw’s attorney, also claims the vaccinations were linked to the children’s deaths, but he provided no evidence to support this. Filicetti stated, “They were looking at it as a vaccine death, and that’s still what I believe it to be.” Meanwhile, Shaw recently delivered another baby prematurely by cesarean section, and her husband is currently caring for the infant.
Andrea Shaw was initially jailed at the Ada County Jail before being transferred to Payette County, where she is being held on a $2 million bond.

Shaw appeared virtually for her arraignment at the Payette County District Court on Thursday. During the proceedings, she was informed of the charges and potential penalties, including the possibility of facing the death penalty.
