Increased Incidents in Immigration Enforcement Under Trump Administration

1 month ago 0

As the Trump administration intensified immigration enforcement, incidents involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have become more frequent. A recent analysis by The Washington Post highlights this trend.

In a significant move following two fatal shootings within a short span, ICE temporarily suspended attempts to arrest undocumented immigrants by stopping their vehicles. However, President Donald Trump seemed to counter this decision with a post on social media.

The recent fatalities, which occurred in Houston and Biddeford, Maine, are part of at least 17 shootings by federal immigration officers targeting motorists since the start of Trump’s term, nearly 18 months ago, according to the analysis.
