Professional wrestling presents one of the toughest challenges for those wishing to rise from obscurity to fame. Thousands of wrestlers globally strive to become stars. Yet, organizing a professional wrestling promotion is a whole new challenge, which rising independent wrestler Dono Hefner is eager to tackle.
At 20, Dono Hefner brands himself as the “most OverAF” independent professional wrestler. He plans to present ‘Too Over To Care’ in Washington, D.C., on February 27, 2027. In a recent interview, Hefner drew attention to his upcoming event by targeting former WWE star JTG, now known as Jay Tha Gawd, calling him “soft” and challenging him to prove otherwise.
Apart from name-calling, Hefner is enthusiastic about the challenges of running his show. “I enjoy challenging myself,” said Hefner. “I’m good at wrestling, so why not take it further? I want to run my own show and create opportunities for others rare in the wrestling world where politics dominate.”
Dono Hefner noted a significant challenge in assembling the show was deciding to tell certain people “no.” “It’s tough because everyone wants to be part of a new show. But we can’t include everyone on the card,” he explained. Despite some difficulties, he mentioned the process had progressed smoothly with ample time before the event.
Among the acts confirmed for ‘Too Over To Care’ are tag teams Jay Lucas and Terry Yaki, known as Top Team, and Chulo Montana with Ykies, recognized as Sexy & Blessed. Dreaming of his ideal opponent, Hefner mentioned, “I would love to face Joey Janela in a match. It could boost my reputation significantly.”
Dono Hefner continues to strive to garner more attention as ‘Too Over To Care’ approaches.
