Jay-Z Concert Delayed Over Safety Concerns

Hundreds of fans found themselves waiting outside Yankee Stadium in New York for hours on Sunday night. They were eager to attend Jay-Z’s concert, which faced a significant delay.

The rapper addressed the issue when the show began after midnight on Monday. He apologized to fans for the delay, explaining it was due to crowd safety concerns.

According to social media videos, Jay-Z stated, “There’s 10,000 people outside. I don’t want to start the music and people get trampled.” His decision aimed to prevent any incidents during the rush to enter.

The Yankees, Roc Nation, and Live Nation released a joint statement. They reported that groups of people without tickets attempted to rush various entrances, even breaching security at times.

“As a result, gates at all entrances of the Stadium were closed for an extended period of time,” the statement revealed. The New York Police Department coordinated with event organizers to cautiously reopen gates, ensuring the safety of everyone inside and outside.

The NYPD referred to the joint statement when inquiries about the incident arose.
