Justin Herbert, known for his role as quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers, recently took a significant step in his personal life. He is now engaged to Madison Beer, a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter. The couple shared their happy news on Instagram, with a picture capturing Herbert on one knee presenting a ring to Beer, who appeared delighted. The post’s caption simply stated, “Meet my fiancé.”
Support poured in from various quarters, including the NFL, the Chargers, and singer Gracie Abrams. The couple was first seen together in August of last year. Beer was a familiar face at several Chargers games during the last season, where she was spotted sharing affectionate moments with Herbert on the sidelines. Their public appearances didn’t stop there, as they also attended Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers games together.
Herbert’s commitment to Beer was also evident as he made a cameo in her “lovergirl” music video this past spring. The couple has had the support of Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh, who humorously offered to drive Herbert to the airport when he took leave for Beer’s tour, skipping part of the voluntary offseason workouts.
Herbert, at 28, is gearing up for his seventh season with the Chargers, beginning with training camp. Despite his talents, the team has yet to secure a playoff victory during his time. As for Beer, aged 27, her rise to fame began in 2012 when Justin Bieber shared her video cover of “At Last.” She released her debut single the following year, featuring Bieber himself. Although nominated for Grammys in 2024 and 2025, Beer revealed her struggles with social anxiety, explaining why she left the ceremonies early.
The upcoming season in both Herbert’s career and personal life appears promising as he balances professional and personal commitments.
