In an impressive display of skill, WWE NXT star Kelani Jordan added another achievement to her growing pro wrestling portfolio within just four years of signing with the company. Initially joining the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, she made her mark by becoming the first NXT women’s North American champion. Her accolades also include winning the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) Knockouts Championship. Most recently, she claimed the NXT Women’s Championship at Heatwave by defeating Kendal Grey.

In an interview with OutKick Dropkick, Jordan expressed her feelings about her accomplishments. She stated, “It feels great. It’s a good reminder for those moments when I’m feeling down or at a plateau. I was the first North American champion, a TNA Knockouts champion, and now the NXT women’s champion. It’s proof that I am talented and earned these titles.”
Throughout this year, Jordan has consistently demanded respect from both fans and her peers in the women’s locker room. In May, she boldly declared that she was more skilled than any of the women who moved to Raw and SmackDown post WrestleMania 42. Now, with the NXT Women’s Championship in her possession, she has substantial evidence to support her claim.

Asked about earning respect, Jordan affirmed, “Yes, absolutely. There’s definitely a bigger target on my back now as champion. But I believe when others step into the ring with me, they know the match will be fiercely competitive. Being a champion gives you added respect because it’s proof of your skills.”
Jaida Parker was quick to confront Jordan during their encounter on Tuesday night. Parker, riding high after a victory in a submission match against Nattie at Heatwave, aimed to show she was a formidable contender. Jordan noted, “I expected someone to step up, and it’s no surprise Parker did. We’ve shared a competitive history, and she has something to prove. However, I back my words with action. While Parker talks, I walk the walk and am prepared for any of her tactics.”
Jordan vs. Parker for the NXT Women’s Championship is scheduled for next Tuesday on the CW Network.
