Christopher Popps, 54, from Michigan, has been arrested on an existing warrant related to the disappearance of Patrick Orville Dearth. Dearth was last seen in Fairbanks, Alaska, in 1993.
Patrick Orville Dearth, who was 34 at the time, vanished in Fairbanks, a city known for its harsh climate and remote location. It took over 30 years for his remains to be discovered.
This case has remained a mystery until investigators uncovered Dearth’s remains. They were found within a barrel, discarded down a steep embankment near a highway, which further complicated the investigation.
