Manhunt Underway for Suspect in Berlin Pride Festival Attack

Authorities in Germany are actively searching for a suspect identified as Abdul B. He is believed to have driven a van into the Pride festival in Berlin, resulting in one death and injuries to at least 16 individuals.

According to police statements, the suspect is 21 years old and reportedly connected to Islamist groups. No arrests have been made yet, and the search continues across the German capital.

The incident took place on Saturday around 10 p.m. local time. A white van struck attendees at a Pride event held in Tiergarten Park, injuring many before the vehicle crashed into a tree.

Three hours post-incident, authorities reported the fatality. Several of those injured had wounds consistent with stabbing, and it is believed that one or more individuals fled the vehicle.

The suspect is described as wearing a black hoodie and white pants. He is of slim build, approximately six feet two inches tall, with black hair. Police have advised the public to avoid any direct contact as the individual may be armed and hazardous.

The suspect is known to police. Our search for this person is proceeding at full speed, said police spokesperson Florian Nath.
