The media frenzy surrounding Natalie Harp, a key aide to former President Donald Trump, has grown after recent political comments. This intense focus unfolded following remarks made by Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., in a viral speech earlier this month.
Harp gained significant media attention when CNN and MS NOW spotlighted her past letters to Trump, expressing strong loyalty. Her presence on an undisclosed flight with Trump last month caught further media interest. Critics lashed out at CNN for interviewing Harp’s estranged brother, amplifying the controversy.
CNN White House reporter Alejandra Jaramillo shared a social media post claiming to have seen Harp at the back of the Oval Office. The photo, showing Harp while Trump addressed reporters, received derision from various conservative voices.
Jaramillo’s post was quickly criticized, with remarks noting Harp was simply fulfilling her job duties. Tim Young from the Heritage Foundation remarked that CNN appeared to be pushing a narrative of Harp’s supposed relationship with Trump, though he viewed this attempt as baseless.
The media outlets CNN and MS NOW referenced Harp repeatedly following Ossoff’s comment, continuously feeding the speculation. Fox News Digital, with input from media fellows like Tim Young, explored the motives behind CNN’s portrayal of Harp.
The White House, via communications director Steven Cheung, pointed out that Jaramillo had criticized Trump back in 2016. CNN did not provide any comments when approached by Fox News.
