A dramatic video has surfaced showing a midair brawl between two passengers on a flight heading to London. The altercation occurred on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight traveling from Sylhet, Bangladesh to London Heathrow on September 16, according to a report by Jam Press.
The fight began as an argument before escalating into a physical confrontation. One man’s T-shirt was torn during the skirmish, which unfolded directly in front of other passengers.
We need to return immediately, warned the flight crew as a pilot’s health emergency unfolded on another occasion.
The reason for the argument remains unclear. As the two passengers exchanged punches in the aisle, men and women leaped from their seats, attempting to break up the fight. Many passengers screamed during the incident.
Crew members successfully intervened and defused the situation. The flight had children and elderly travelers on board. The airline later confirmed the event, stating that their cabin crew had resolved the conflict.
The incident was captured on video and shared on social media. Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ General Manager of Public Relations, Mohiuddin Ahmed, acknowledged the altercation, commenting, “At some point during the flight, two passengers got into a physical altercation.”
Fox News Digital inquired with the Metropolitan Police at Heathrow Airport to determine if any arrests were made or further actions taken. They also contacted Biman Bangladesh Airlines for comments.
Sylhet, located 125 miles northeast of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is where the flight originated. Flights between Sylhet and London typically exceed 11 hours in duration, according to FlightAware.
This event is part of a trend of disruptive incidents occurring aboard commercial flights. Earlier in the summer, an easyJet flight had to return to a Tenerife airport following a brawl involving approximately 10 passengers shortly after takeoff.
In another recent occurrence, an American Airlines passenger was detained for allegedly injuring a flight attendant. This incident involved the passenger trying to open a cabin door mid-flight, leading to three fellow passengers restraining him with tape.
