1 week ago 0

Presley Gerber, the model known for being the son of Cindy Crawford, has died at the age of 27. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed his death, which occurred on Sunday at a rehab facility. Officials have not yet confirmed the cause of death.

In recent years, Gerber openly discussed his struggles with mental health and drug abuse. He shared a significant post on Instagram in March, stating, “Pre Ibogaine Flood Dose — quiet moment before everything changed.” He elaborated, “I faced what I had been running from, and somewhere in all of it, I started finding my way back to myself. We shall see… Praying it’s the last time I have to come back.”

Gerber included several hashtags in the post, such as “iboga,” “ibogaine,” “rewire your brain,” “love yourself,” and “mental health.”

Ibogaine, a compound found in the West African shrub iboga, acts as a mild stimulant in small doses. Larger doses can induce profound psychedelic experiences, including hallucinations. As a pharmaceutical substance, ibogaine is utilized for various health issues, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is also used in treating substance dependency, as research indicates it can help reduce withdrawal symptoms and curb cravings.

Ibogaine gained notoriety in the 1980s in the U.S. and Europe. Nonetheless, it remains classified as a Schedule I substance under the Controlled Substances Act in the United States.

This is a developing story. More information will follow.
