Pop singer Olivia Rodrigo is making waves with her new album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love. Amid promoting her album, Rodrigo has also organized a music festival.
On June 22, Rodrigo announced Daisy Chain Fields, a festival featuring an all-female lineup. The event is scheduled for Aug. 29 in Irvine, California.
The lineup includes Rodrigo as the headliner, along with performances by Garbage, The Breeders, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Bikini Kill, KATSEYE, Mitski, and Santigold. Special guests such as Sarah McLachlan, Stevie Nicks, and Karen O from Yeah Yeah Yeahs will also perform.
Rodrigo stated that the festival is inspired by the potential for joy, community, and creativity to drive positive change. She expressed excitement about celebrating these talented women and acknowledged the partners who made the festival possible.
She emphasized the aim of creating a community that inspires hope and promotes positive change by uniting women in music and organizations committed to improving the future for women and girls.
