Panthers Triumph in Preseason Opener with Haynes King’s Heroics

In an electrifying start to the NFL preseason, rookie quarterback Haynes King led the Carolina Panthers to a narrow 33-30 victory over the Arizona Cardinals during the annual Hall of Fame Game. King clinched the win with a final play from 5 yards out, adding another thrilling chapter to this storied exhibition.

The game showcased King’s talents, as the former Georgia Tech star accrued 180 passing yards and threw for two touchdowns. On the ground, he chalked up an additional 39 yards. This dazzling debut highlighted his potential as a promising player in the league.

In the fourth quarter’s opening moments, King connected with Anthony Tyus III for a 4-yard touchdown pass to reclaim the lead at 24-20 for Carolina. Earlier, King found target Ja’Seem Reed in the end zone during the second quarter for another scoring play.
