Perez Hilton Allegedly Livestreams Self-Harm, Prompts Police Response

1 week ago 0

A TikTok live video featuring Perez Hilton at his Miami home has generated concern and numerous reports to law enforcement. The Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office received several calls about Hilton allegedly self-harming during a livestream. Police spoke with family members at his residence and chose to ‘tactically disengage’ while keeping the situation under surveillance.

The Sheriff’s Office emphasized that in situations where individuals may be undergoing mental health crises, creating time, distance, and communication opportunities is essential. This approach is intended to de-escalate without posing immediate threats to others, reducing the chances of a confrontation and minimizing risk of harm.

The controversial video showed actions interpreted as self-harm, leading to TikTok suspending Hilton’s account. Hilton’s family situation remains partially unclear, but he has three children.

This incident follows Hilton’s prior health issues, including a hospitalization in March due to sepsis after taking flu medication improperly and another hospitalization for deep vein thrombosis.

Hilton had expressed his renewed connection to spirituality, crediting God with what he calls a miraculous recovery, emphasizing his shift from faith and hope to certainty in God.

For those facing similar issues, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline offers support through calls, texts, or visiting their website.
