President Donald Trump recently proposed changing the name of New Mexico to “New America.” This suggestion was made through a series of social media posts, one of many he shared. These posts also included memes featuring himself, criticisms of opponents, and messages some Democrats found offensive.
This declaration comes after Trump’s earlier order to rename Lake Ontario as “Lake America.” However, he does not possess the authority to unilaterally rename any state, including New Mexico.
