SEC Media Days and Michigan’s Investigation Findings

Michigan’s $12 Million Investigation

Amid SEC Media Day’s opening remarks, Michigan’s Wolverines unveiled findings from their $12 million investigation into former coach Sherrone Moore and department culture. Moore’s termination followed accusations of a relationship with staffer Paige Shiver. Warde Manuel’s handling of issues over five years was scrutinized. Although praised for strengths, Manuel’s failures in promptly addressing allegations led to his decision to step down by the year’s end.

“The review identified interference, poor oversight, and failures of accountability,” President Domenico Grasso said. “This must change.”

The culture evaluation also highlighted weaknesses in accountability and oversight, although it didn’t find the misconduct to be widespread.

Future of College Football
