On Monday morning, a violent incident occurred at a senior assisted living facility in South Los Angeles, resulting in multiple victims. A worker at the facility walked into his job and opened fire, injuring three colleagues, one critically, according to police reports.
The shooting took place near West 70th Street and Denver Avenue shortly before 11 a.m. During a press conference, police provided details of the event, revealing that the suspect, a man in his 60s employed at the facility, targeted three individuals in the business lobby before moving further into the building.
Officers responded rapidly, arriving at the location within two minutes and rushing inside to aid the victims. They found three individuals who had been shot. As they moved deeper into the building, they encountered the shooter and successfully apprehended him.
The injured parties included a woman in her 40s, a woman in her 60s, and a man in his 60s, all of whom were promptly transported to a nearby hospital. One victim was reported in critical condition, though specific details about which victim remained unclear.
