Simone Biles Undergoes Hospital Procedure

Simone Biles recently returned to the hospital for a procedure. This visit follows a serious medical scare over a month ago. Biles shared a photo on Instagram with her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, who accompanied her during the procedure, which took place on his birthday.

In the Instagram Story, Biles wore a hospital gown and cap, smiling alongside Owens. The gold-medal gymnast used white hearts and happy-crying emojis in her post. She has not detailed the cause of her previous medical emergency but mentioned it ‘could have ended very differently.’

“This was one of, if not the scariest experience of my life, especially since Jonathan was in [Indianapolis] for practices,” Biles shared. “I’ve been in bed resting this week. I’ll explain sooner or later, but [shoutout] to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited & or sent flowers.”

Jonathan Owens, a safety for the Indianapolis Colts, has supported Biles through these challenging times. The couple married in 2023, though Owens’ career often requires significant travel. Owens entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and has since played for five teams. He and Biles met in 2019 while he was with the Houston Texans and have since built a home in Texas.
