Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, a new 10-part series on HBO Max, extends the universe of The Big Bang Theory by spotlighting its supporting characters. Instead of focusing on Sheldon or Leonard, this sequel centers on Stuart, the comic book store owner, his girlfriend Denise, and two quirky characters: the geologist Bert and the egotistical scientist Barry Kripke.

The original sitcom always excelled in developing its secondary cast, adding depth over the years. This tradition continues in Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, immersing these four characters in a literal new universe.

Created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady of The Big Bang Theory, along with Zak Penn from The Avengers, this series eschews the traditional laugh track for a fusion of action and comedy.
