Lauren grew up in a country setting, enjoying simple pleasures such as stargazing with her father, identifying constellations, and calling out satellites. This laid-back lifestyle contrasts with the complexities of fame. Rhett and Lauren have a long history, having known each other since first grade. They dated briefly in high school and reunited after college. They married at the age of 22.

Rhett acknowledged the unusual nature of fame, stating that it alters one’s life in many ways, like enabling skipping lines, although he chooses not to use such privileges. He explained his wife’s longing for normalcy, both before and after his rise to fame. He highlighted their pursuit of a simple life, despite fame’s unique challenges.
