Three teenagers were shot on Saturday night in North Lawndale, Chicago, according to police reports. Officers responded to a large gathering in the 1400 block of S. Christiana Ave. around 11:30 p.m. when they heard multiple gunshots.
A group of individuals fled from the scene, and a 19-year-old man then approached the officers. He reported being shot in the groin and forearm. Officers immediately applied a tourniquet, and the man was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
A 19-year-old woman also suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks. She transported herself to Mt. Sinai and is currently listed in good condition. Additionally, an 18-year-old woman was later located with a gunshot wound to the buttocks. She was also taken to Mt. Sinai, where she is in good condition.
The police have confirmed that detectives from Area Four are investigating the incident.
