Trey McBride of the Arizona Cardinals has made a substantial climb in the NFL Top 100 list for the upcoming season, securing the No. 13 spot. This list is determined by votes from fellow active NFL players.

McBride’s Reaction

During a Cardinals media session at training camp, McBride expressed his satisfaction with his new ranking. He revealed that he’d been aware of his position for about three months, describing it as ‘very cool.’ Last year, he placed 65th, marking a significant rise this year.

“I’ve known for probably three months or so that I was that, so it’s been cool, just the anticipation of everyone not knowing,” he shared with reporters.

McBride highlighted the honor of being acknowledged by his peers in the league. He remarked, “Being the 13th, wow. Some of those names in front of me, some of those names behind me, there’s some really good players.”

Career Highlights

The tight end’s dedication and strong performance the previous season paid off, earning him recognition. McBride, originally drafted in the second round of 2022, recorded 126 receptions, 1,239 receiving yards, and scored 11 touchdowns. These achievements secured him a spot in the Pro Bowl for the second year in a row.

Future Prospects

As established players like Rob Gronkowski have retired and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs nears the end of his career, McBride has an opportunity to further establish himself as a top tight end in the league.

In the upcoming season, Arizona will see a change in their dynamics. Quarterback Kyler Murray has departed for the Minnesota Vikings, with veteran Jacoby Brissett stepping in as the team’s top quarterback.

Additionally, the Cardinals have added Jeremiyah Love, a highly drafted running back, to their roster. Observers are keen to see how these changes will influence McBride’s performance on the field, whether he will continue to post impressive stats or face challenges.
