U.S. Women’s Health Crisis Under Trump Administration

1 month ago 0

The Nation, established by abolitionists in 1865, serves as an influential voice in political and cultural dialogues. Known for its critical and progressive stance, it addresses key issues affecting society.

The health situation for women in the United States has worsened under the Trump administration. Women in the U.S. face higher mortality rates from preventable causes compared to other developed nations. This issue is particularly severe among Black women, experiencing disproportionately high maternal mortality rates.

Compounding these challenges, the National Institutes for Health (NIH) have reduced grants for projects tackling disparities based on race, sex, or gender. They have also prohibited the use of terms like “women” and “diversity” in funding proposals.
