Will Levis, a quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, is seeking a new beginning before the NFL regular season. Levis, selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has encountered challenges in his early career.
The Titans chose Levis, giving him the opportunity to start in 21 games. During this time, he threw for 3,899 yards with 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. However, following the Titans’ decision to draft Cam Ward as the No. 1 pick in 2025, Levis’s position became uncertain.
On Sunday, the Titans waived Levis, allowing him to enter free agency. Reports indicate that Levis wished to leave Tennessee to find a better situation elsewhere. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler confirmed on X that the release was in part due to Levis’s desire for a fresh start.
Reflecting on his time in Tennessee, Levis expressed growth and newfound confidence. He emphasized the importance of focusing on his own development rather than seeking approval from others. Levis feels confident about his abilities, stating, “I know that I have put the tape out there already that I’m a dang good quarterback in this league, and I am better than I ever have been.”
As Levis looks for a new team, his experience and self-assurance could prove valuable in securing a position and rising through the ranks of another NFL team.
In contrast, Malik Willis, drafted by the Titans in the third round of the 2022 draft, experienced a positive change by transitioning to the Green Bay Packers before advancing to a starting role with the Miami Dolphins.
Levis, like Willis, may find success with another team. His next opportunity could allow him to demonstrate his skills and contribute significantly as a quarterback.
