Campbell’s iconic red-and-white soup cans are witnessing a transformation as the brand introduces several new varieties. These additions aim to cater to evolving consumer preferences and dietary needs.
Gluten-Free Option with Banza
In response to the rise in gluten-free diets among Americans, Campbell’s has partnered with Banza to create a gluten-free version of its traditional chicken noodle soup. Called Campbell’s Condensed Gluten Free Banza Chickpea Pasta and Chicken Soup, this product marries the taste of Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup with Banza’s gluten-free chickpea penne pasta.
“The new variety pairs the comfort of Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup with Banza’s beloved gluten-free chickpea penne pasta, delivering the classic flavor fans know and love,” Campbell’s announced.
Approximately 30% of the U.S. population seeks gluten-free options, and projections suggest the gluten-free market could grow at an annual compound rate of 9.8% from 2026 to 2033.
Gluten is a protein found in grains like wheat and is prevalent in bread, pasta, and some soups. Celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder triggered by gluten consumption, affecting about 1% of the population. However, diagnosis rates remain low, with only about 30% properly diagnosed. More individuals may suffer from non-celiac gluten sensitivity, though exact figures are uncertain.
The Celiac Disease Foundation notes that gluten sensitivity can cause a range of symptoms, such as depression, ADHD-like behavior, stomach pain, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, headaches, joint pain, and chronic fatigue.
Benjamin Crook, Campbell’s senior vice president of soup, explains, “For over 125 years, Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup has been a staple in homes across America. Partnering with Banza lets us bring that same classic chicken noodle taste to people seeking gluten-free options, made with No Antibiotics Ever chicken meat and Banza’s chickpea pasta.”
This gluten-free chicken noodle soup is now available on Amazon and will be stocked by retailers nationwide soon.
Bold Flavors with Buffalo Wild Wings
Campbell’s Chunky line has collaborated with Buffalo Wild Wings to create Campbell’s Chunky Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Chicken Noodle Soup. Buffalo Wild Wings is recognized as the largest sports bar brand in the U.S., and this partnership aims to boost BWW’s off-premise business via Buffalo Wild Wings GO, which focuses on takeout and delivery.
The soup collaboration reflects Chunky brand’s broader strategy to reach new consumers through modern, bold flavors, Campbell’s stated.
A survey from the International Food Information Council in 2025 revealed that 70% of Americans prioritize protein intake. The BWW soup aligns with this trend by providing 17 grams of protein per 18.8-ounce can. It is available in stores now.
Beer-Infused Flavors
Last fall, Campbell’s introduced two new Chunky soups to enhance its flavor offerings. The Campbell’s Chunky x Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer Cheese with Potatoes & Chorizo Soup features chorizo and potatoes in creamy cheese infused with Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer flavor. The Campbell’s Chunky x Pabst Blue Ribbon Beef, Bacon & Beer Chili with Beans includes beef, beans, smoky bacon, and PBR flavor.
Both products are exclusively available at Walmart. Campbell’s continues to cater to consumers who increasingly cook at home and prioritize value, quality, and convenience.
In 2025, Axios reported Campbell’s saw an unspecified increase in soup sales and a 5% decrease in organic sales of snacks.
