Alberto Carvalho, who had been the superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School District, resigned on Sunday. This decision came months after the FBI conducted searches at his residence and the school district’s headquarters.
Carvalho, appointed in 2022, oversaw a district with 520,000 students. He was put on paid leave shortly after the FBI’s search, which took place on February 25.
