Wind-Driven Incident at Seminole Hard Rock Injures Five

A sudden gust of wind caused a metal cabana frame to collapse into a crowded pool area at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday evening. The incident took place at the DAER Club, located on the rooftop of the hotel in Hollywood, Florida.

Reports indicated that the strong winds hit an outdoor section of this venue, leading to the partial collapse of the structure. Five people suffered injuries and were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital. Fortunately, the injuries were not life-threatening.

One witness, who captured video of the incident’s aftermath, stated he was near the area just moments before the collapse. He shared his experience on social media, reflecting his shock at narrowly avoiding the situation.

He remarked, “I am still in shock. I keep thinking that I was supposed to be standing there, but for some reason, I moved away at the last moment.”

The incident took place at Asbury Park’s 3rd Avenue Beach in June 2025. The conscious lifeguard was hospitalized after being pierced by the umbrella stake.
